Stefano Pioli’s great work with Inter is unquestionable: 11 wins in 15 games, 34 points and third place behind Juventus (40 points) and Napoli (36 points) in the mini-campionato since he took over from Frank De Boer. Tuttosport praises the work of Pioli but raises an issue: “Pioli has already failed a couple of exams, and this has not gone unnoticed in the control room of Nanjing. The coach lost three important games against teams ahead of Inter and got eliminated in the cup against Lazio”. After the season has ended Pioli’s work will be evaluated and if Conte says yes to the Inter bench, the job is his.

Those 3 losses were against clubs currently superior than us, even though the Juve loss was harsh. There’s no denying how much Pioli has changed Inter and he should stick around next year unless we can get a much better coach (i.e Simeone). Pioli’s job should only be questioned if he starts losing games regularly to bottom half of the table.
