Sign both De Vrij and Manolas, keep Perisic. I don’t care about the rest.
Fabinho would be amazing. Hes a rock at cdm and would challenge Kdog for his spot
That’s good if we sign some midfielders and forwards, but since the treble our weak leak has always been our CBs. I’m already satisfied with Gagliar-Dogbia.
Don’t care about R.Rodriguez? A player that would be a significant boost in quality as a fullback. We can’t challenge Rube, Roma and Napoli with our current fullbacks.
Having decent fullbacks is good, but superstar CBs is essential and currently our only above average CB is Miranda. The rest are too shitty.
But if we don’t qualify for EL do we really need 2 CBs? Miranda paired with Manolas or De Vrij, would be a great duo. And having Murillo + Medel as backups would see us covered for Serie A and coppa. If buying only one CB would mean more money to be invested in FB position (BOTH sides) I would take that deal anyday and get a world class CB when we qualify for UCL next season.
Having a worldclass fullback, who moves forward and makes simple 1-2 passes at the flank can be deadly in any games. Add an ability to deliver actually a decent pass to Icardi and thats a recipe which can win games. To be honest the players don’t even need to be world class to be better than what we currently have on that department.
By buying only one CB of those mentioned we could invest the other part on R.Rodriguez (22M) and a youngster Benjamin Henrichs for around 20M.
Although, if we sell Murillo or rather Medel we should buy Manolas and also De Vrij. And 2 fullbacks. + other players.
