Baggio: “I’d be lying if I said that I never thought of giving up during injury rehab”

Roberto Baggio spoke to the Daily Star recalling his injury problems when asked about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s long term injury: “I remember the hard work. I was in the gym for 10 hours in a row and felt pain. I have had many colleagues next to me in rehab. In the two weeks after the operation I lost 12 kg. I did not eat and I cried, I was destroyed by the physical and emotional pain. I’d be lying if I said that I never thought of giving up, but every time I reacted. I wanted to prove to myself that I was stronger than my bad luck.”
