Nicola Berti spoke to Corriere della Sera on Inter’s immediate future: “They have quality but are not well-matched: I’d like to see someone like Alexis Sanchez who would take advantage of the spaces that Icardi creates. I think that Pioli should remain, before him it was a mess. Mancini knew he had to go away and then De Boer who couldn’t even speak Italian…then who would take the place of Pioli? It is true that he missed a couple of games but he is at Pinetina from 7 am to 7 pm and is a great professional.”

Agree all the way with my old hero Nicola Berti! Let’s keep Pioli until next summer (2018) let’s let him do the cleaning up in the squad and let him build a stronger team for Simeone to take over.
Changing now would only make the trash players stay and wait for their chances to play with a new coach.
And its not a mess now?
The “Pioli effect” was nothing more than a honeymoon period due to a change in environment after FDB ws gone. Now the honeymoon is over and we seeing how utterly ineffective Pioli actually is.
It was the same when Leonardo joined, when Ranieri joined, Strama joined etc etc countless examples of the team sudenly getting results after a change in environment and then after a honeymoon period it all turns to back to being shit again.
Pioli is not inter material, forget about 4th place next season if he stays on.
Honeymoon periods of half a year?? We have seen this disaster before, with Stamma, Ranieri (as you both mentioned but failed to remember we’re sacked because the squad crashed and burned like today), Mancini and now Pioli. Maybe it isn’t the coach fault but the useless players we have? Maybe we lack a true leader to leader the players when the going gets tough? Ever since Milito, Cambio, Samúel and Zanetti left we have been in this mess and have been without any kind of “strong man” on the pitch. Mancini said it loud and clear, he wanted Yaya to come in a lead plus Miranda, and he got….. Melo!
Totally agree.
