While the wait for the official Inter announcement of Luciano Spalletti‘s managerial job begins, Premium Sports has drafted a few players that are likely to join if the Italian is announced as Inter manager:
Premium Sports predicted Spalletti’s 4-2-3-1 system that could take field next year – confirming only Handanovic, Gagliardini, Candreva and Icardi. Everyone else is new, from the entire defensive line starting with Real Madrid’s right back, Danilo, but names like Darmian and Spinazzola were left out and could also be alternative targets. In the heart of the defense is Rudiger and free transfer Pepe with Lucas Digne completing the defensive line – Sabatini has searched for a full-back and chose the French after struggling to get playtime under Luis Enrique‘s Barcelona. In midfield, the pair Gagliardini–Krychowiak, with Radja Nainggolan who would be positioned behind the striker complete the midfield. Berardi and Candreva on the wings supporting the man in front, Mauro Icardi.

I dont really care with who will come or go. All I care is to get a proven coach and the management need to support him 100% to get the best players that suits his style. No more gabigol case, dont buy him if u dont need him. Or just let him olay somewhere else first just like juventus did.
Second, just please get rid of deadwoods like nagatomo, palacio, ansaldi. Especially nagatomo, he’s the symbol of inter dark age.
Even with this current squad (minus nagatomo & co), we can reach UCL if we were smarter in management. What a shame it ended like this. Our squad is the second or third in serie a below juve and roma.
People here need to stop whining about getting flops from the big teams in europe. Inter not a very attractive destination currently, not in europe and not even among the top 30~ strongest clubs in europe.
Big club flops is about the best Inter can attract and then hope they revive their careers…. And it happens often, lets not forget Samuel, who is considered a mega flop in real madrid who turned into a legend at Inter.
Its not particular exciting names, but its hard for Inter to attrract better currently and it will still be better than what we have currently.

Defensively Dumbo is better but offensively Digne is miles ahead of him. My point is you could get better players for that kind of money.
What’s your take on Mendy’s defensive ability btw? You watch french league so I’m curious. He is a physical beast and me like many others would want him to be our new Maicon or something. He is most likely overvalued on the market and City or someone will probably snap him up, but how do you see him overall? In second game against Juve his defending didn’t seem great, but the whole Monaco team was ripped apart by those Juve’s counter attacks.
Honestly, I’m à Marseille fan and when he played there he was good but impressive. This year he exploded at monaco, meaning he is progressing. He is fast and can cross. Not a good dribbler but can use his pace. Defensively and tactically he needs to improve to be great in série A but there is potential.
However I’m pretty sure, he’ll end up in premier league though.
So you get to watch Payet play, man it would be awesome if that guy was at Inter. But yeah, there must be overhype with these Monaco guys. Their team just clicked so well this year that they probably seem better than they really are. I’ll most likely be in a wheelchair before we find a new Maicon.
And now it seems we might have an agreement with Nice’s Dalbert. He seems speedy and technical on youtube compilation at least (if I just had a nickel every time somebody says that!). Anyways, there seems to be a lot of of talent in french league these days.

I also think some Monaco players are probably playing better than they really would normally because they’re having an amazing season. But they also have some great talents in there. Since they stopped buying big and sold James, they been great at finding young talents and selling them for big profits. Sometimes they get flops and send them on loan. But sometimes they get some Lemar, Fabinho, Silva, Bakayoko, Mendy who all will be sold for big bucks. Moreover, the coach had been amazing adapting to all of inNout transfers.

Have to watch out for Cyprien then. But yeah, it’s not all hype for Monaco if they made it to CL semis. Last time they lost Juve in semis they had Henry, Trezeguet etc.And last time they went to CL final Evra, Giuly… So some of those Monaco players are most likely bound to become big names. I have no idea about that Dalbert also. I tried check out one of Nice’s games couple of months ago, but I fell asleep after couple of minutes. So I’m clearly Inter scout material XD

Danilo was actually very good at Porto. He has flopped at RM indeed, but its surely not impossible that can will revive his career at a new team in a new league.
Both. I’ve known Digne since his Lille days and, although I don’t watch Portuguese league, I’ve seen Danilo play many times with RM.
They are both way better than anything we have at crossing and going forward but they are also both liabilities in defense, especially Danilo.

If you want to be the best you need to go after young unknown players like Juve did with Pogba, Vidal, Bonucci, Coman, Morata, Zaza, Lemina, Coman, Marchisio and the odd time spend and get a guy like Dybala……every player that was sold was sold for a profit and players on the juve roster like Bonucci, Lemina. Dybala and Marchisio can easily be sold for a profit.
why is everyone pushing Pepe into this team? I’m against him joining Inter. He is 33 and will surely in a month or two upon his arrival lose his motivation and we will end up with one more player with high salary and taking place to one of younger players
Which younger players? Pepe is one of the best CB in the world, the older he gets, the better he gets. We need stable backline, young players won’t guarantee that. Pepe and Miranda probably would, Pepe is a champion and a strong character, we need that ASAP.

I’m going to argue that Mazzarri is Useless…..he was inter’s best coach since Mourinho !! He took inter to 5th place with Nagatomo and Jonathan as wingbacks and there is no coach that could do that relying on those 2 players ….. that in itself is an accomplishment of epic proportions ! Mazzarri was given junk to work with and still got inter to Europa League, very few injuries and the team didn’t give up….allright so they tied Livorno 1-1 compliments of a Guarin assist, lost a few points because Vidic scored in his own net, lost a few more because Nagatomo can’t mark for shit but he’s got Guarin, Kuzmanovic, a young Kovacic and some other pieces of hunk to work with in the midfield….he’s got a good attack but Ranocchia and Vidic as CB is a ticking time bomb to say the least ! Don’t diss the coach, diss the idiot that signed these pieces of junk !

true story, maybe mazarri is underrated but this doesnt take away how his team still imploded and for a super defensively counter team there were gaps and holes everywhere. ofcourse our players were awful and this is the main reason why we sucked back then, never really thought otherwise. and oh yea, it was terrible to watch! like watching paint dry so i was glad we got rid of him in the end
well what do you expect from Him as a coach if he’s relying on Nagatomo and Jonathan to make accurate crosses in the box ? then you got bird shooter who can hit a star before hitting the net from outside the box – then you got that poor Kid Kovacic who’s wondering “wtf do i got anyone good to pass the ball to” the attack was good, Osvaldo played well under Mazzarri but you talk about gaps …..what did you expect with Ranocchia-Vidic-Jesus ?? not to mention Rolando was a beast under Mazzarri and you didn’t want to pay 4 mill for him?? Ausilio messed up there……say what you want but 5th place with that team is something that i look at as an accomplishment. We need leaders in every line of the team. We though Miranda would be the leader we needed but he wasn’t. Pepe is a born leader and could help showing the way forward for everyone. But he too needs help in leading and therefor Nainggolan would be existential! Plus a leading figure in attack is needed as well, and Di Maria fits that bill completely! Even De Rossi is a player I like for his leadership abilities. He won’t play every game but having him to show everyone how to give their all at training etc will be so valuable!

Hehe. French fullback who was in Olympiakos and this year at West Ham. He was linked to us when he played at Greece. He’s quite fast and friend of Kondogbia apparently. He hasn’t really flourished at West Ham, but has had physical problems it seems.
He is a fast player and Sabatini is crazy about those (Gervinho, Doumbia, Ibarbo, Iturbe etc.). So that’s why I kind of think he might hypothetically be on some list of theirs like that Izquorblaa whatever winger that plays at in Belgium.

if you only look at the names, our starting XI is not bad, but they perform like shit, doesnt give a flying fuck about the Inter jersey and feel entitled to sabotage the head coach every now and then. what we have right now are mercenaries, not football players, a coach like Simeone would beat the shit out of these

I am not sure how we are planning on attracting any real big names again this coming window. There are only so many times we can go through a transitional period and it seems it has lasted 7 years so far. Constant manager changes has not helped in the slightest and we really need to just get a manager and understand it takes time for a team to adjust. Spalletti will not get us to the top in one season and in all likelihood he wont be here after next year either judging by our history. What players are seriously going to consider joining a team that has had 10 managers in 7 years (soon to be 11), there is no sense of stability in this team and if you are ever going to attract top players you need stability. We can throw as much money around as we want but without players that want to fight for the team and manager it is useless. If Spalletti comes then I am all for bringing in Roma targets because at least they will fight for the manager and put in a performance week after week.
