After his last game as an Inter player, Juan Pablo Carrizo stopped by the mixed zone to talk about what Inter has meant for him as well as his future:
“First of all, thank you all for your support and affection. It was an honor to wear this shirt. Since I arrived at Inter I never thought of the time that I would be gone, but still I am going away with great joy because I met people of great value in this society. I am not happy to leave, but I’m leaving with a smile, joyful for what I have lived. Now I do not know where I’m going, I do not think to return to Argentina. I’ll go to a club where I can have more space to play.”
You’ve been here for quite some time, what went wrong?
“Since Moratti left, the structure has split. New ownership, new coaches. Several new people, there has been a lot of confusion that moved into the field. Like a child, who does not know whether to follow the mom or the dad – we could not qualify to UEFA.”
Your best memory?
“The debut. I have always dreamed of wearing this shirt, I saw Zanetti and we played together, it was beautiful.”
The worst?
“I don’t have any. I have not played much, I didn’t want to put anyone in an awkward position. I wanted to make myself useful in times of need. It was a positive experience at Inter.”
