Azzurri manager Giampiero Ventura spoke on Gabriele Oriali, amid rumours that Oriali is to leave his role within the national team setup: “If Oriali were to go, it is clear that he would need to be replaced by a person of great value. Totti would be one.”
Ventura also explained Roberto Gagliardini’s exclusion from the friendly with San Marino tomorrow: “We decided to bring Pellegrini in over Gagliardini because he already knows the environment. There is a technical reason behind this choice.”
