Gianluca Di Marzio reports that newly appointed Inter coach Luciano Spalletti has asked the club to sign Fiorentina’s Spanish midfielder Borja Valero.
According to the report Inter are pressing hard to sign the player who Luciano Spalletti wanted a year ago when in charge of Roma but who famously failed to sign Valero. Furthermore, first contacts between the Nerazzurri and the player’s agent are already underway as Di Marzio reports that a meeting between the two clubs is expected to take place soon to see the difference between the Viola’s asking price and what the Nerazzurri are willing to offer in order to see if Valero could be the first signing under the Spalletti era.
It is no secret that Spalletti is a keen admirer of Valero’s versatility in the middle of the pitch and has accordign to Di Marzio specifically asked the Nerazzurri to signt he Spaniard.

This summer Inter Milan target it’s just like mid class Series A club
Haha yea a 32 year old valero.
He is a very good passer tbh, but he is worse than our current midfielders at defending.
Why sign poor men’s banega when we have banega
Last year we were laughing when Mancini wanted Yaya, and it turned out that we kinda need yaya type of player and experience in our midfield… this year we may need borja’s experience and skill in our midfield…
just skip.
WTF!?
Leave this relic at Florence. Old man will need more time to recover as he gets injured.
Instead, rain the money on Naby of Leipzig!!
Same simple passing style, fast, and high determination.
He will be instantly Nerazzurie midfield ENGINE!
Exactly
I always ask myself why he wasn’t playing for a bigger club. He is really good.
Soo sooo sad
Wow…he still have selling price…while Bia, Rano, Naga, Santon, Jojo are hard to sell…
Mistery or Misery ???????????
Too be honest Borja is such an underrated gem. He has been an assist machine in Serie A with almost 90% pass success percentage. That’s impressive.
Him and Gagliardini could be a powerhouse duo. But we are five years late. He will be 33 years old in January, definitely not a long term solution. But if Spalletti asked for his services, then welcome Borja!
He’s just like Pirlo.
Things will be different if we buy him when he’s 27. Now he’s 32 and past his prime, will become another Melo.
