Spanish outlet El Desmarque report that Inter are one of several clubs courting Joao Cancelo. The Portuguese full back has caught the eye while playing at the ongoing U21 European Championships.
Later this week, his agent Jorge Mendes will meet with Valencia to discuss his future with the club and present other options he has.

From what I’ve seen Valencia fans say, he is rather terrible and they want to get rid of him. Looks like a younger Montoya. I’m not too convinced.
Just like Banega was amazing in La Liga, and horrible in Serie A, players sometimes don’t adapt to the league they are playing in. Can’t say he’s terrible until he actually plays a game outside of Spain, plus Valencia as a whole is terrible. I’d take him in a heart beat over Dumb/Anal.
Banega wasn’t “amazing in La Liga, and horrible in Serie A”. He played exactly the same in La Liga as he did at Inter. Great midfielder, but inconsistent. And by your logic you could say, in case Barcelona was buying him, that a person can’t say Ranocchia is terrible because he didn’t play in La Liga.
No no, Banega was horrible in Serie A. He didn’t adapt at all and continued to play as if he was in Spain. Serie A is extremely tactical and YOU will get closed down very quickly compared to other leagues (like La Liga were you have 15 yards of space constantly). Cancelo has yet to set foot in Italy, so you can judge him. Banega played in Italy, he was trash. Ranocchia would be constantly red carded in La Liga as he to physical, he worked in England because they prefer their football to resemble rugby. It’s not hard to understand really. You buy players that A) suit the squad and B) the league or you are left with Jonathans.
at this point man what options do we really have, for some reason we stopped all transfer talks with mendy, how about giving miangue a shot,. and rb florenzi is an option,ricardo pereira, semedo as well

Usually players/ex-players from Benfica are overrated by Portuguese media…that´s how it works in Portugal…but Cancelo is one of the exceptions…a few years ago Benfica wanted to get rid of some young kids that barely played for the main squad…so Jorge Mendes (works very closely with Benfica) managed to make some awkward deals with teams that belong to his “cashflow”…money runs between those clubs and of course, Mendes pockets…so they sold players like Bernardo Silva, Cancelo and a few others by 15Million each (again, they didn´t even play for the main squad)….turns out that Silva is actually a great player and Cancelo is improving every year and becoming a very good player…he could be one of the national squad players but now Benfica wants to sell Semedo so he droped to the U-21…that’s about it
