In his interview with The Straits Times, Inter president Erick Thohir spoke about Financial Fair Play and Milan’s transfer market.
“If you remember when I joined Inter in 2013, we signed the Financial Fair Play pact. This year we have to balance our entries and exits. Inter is in a transition period. AC Milan simply have a different strategy than us. The team they had set up originally was clearly one they did not believe in.”

Tbf it is not a joke. This ffp thing is made to force club to invest in productive things like academy etc instead of buying player for huge amount of fee. It prevent clubs from bankcruptcy. But there is still weakness with this ffp that makes the gap from big club and small club bigger
It is a joke, mate. PSG got 200M/yr “sponsorship” deal with Qatar Tourism Authority, and FFP couldn’t stop that. No one believes 200M/yr was a fair market value of the deal – it was a ploy to supply 200M into PSG legally, bypassing FFP by claiming the money as revenue.
When clubs can and do exploit FFP this way, FFP is pretty much meaningless.
