Hell yeah he deserves it
It might just be a ploy to make United hurry up and bid the asking price.
Its kinda lose-lose for Inter if Perisic leaves or stays.
On one hand he is 28 years old and will never be worth more than he is now and is unlikely to ever have a better season than he just had. In fact its likely he will underperform slightly next season to avoid injury because its a world cup year and alot of player play very cautiously then, especially towards the end of the season.
Giving him a 4 year contract with 5m per year, will in all likely hood mean he will play out his entire contract at Inter if it happens, because no other team in the world will match this salary in a couple of years when he is 30+. This is the year to cash in on him no doubt.
On the other hand, while i dont really consider Perisic world class, he is very difficult to replace for Inter currently, considering the low appeal the club has.
One could argue though, that considering this summers mercato primary goal seemingly is to sign players for the future rather than players to make an immediate jump for top 4, then selling Perisic and replacing him with a younger player or two would make sense, since even if the those players arent up to Perisic standards right now, then it doesnt really matter since Inter are not realistically targetting top 4 next anyways.
Sell him or keep him, nothing is really ideal under the current circumstances. If i had to chose, i’d sell him tbh, it would be more benefical long term. Same for Candreva.
Borja Valero prove to be “player for the future rather than player to make jump fot top 4”.I dont think so.
So?
He is so far the only exception and its not like he is some world class 32 year old…. There is less than a month to go and nothing so far nothing indicates otherwise, in fact the management have stated serveral times that their focus in on building something long term.
If the club really was pushing to create a top 4 team for next season specifically, then we would have seen more experienced signings and less focus on the youth sector.
Simple logic, but ofcourse they wont publicly say that they arent targeting top 4, because that would create a fan outrage. The official target is top 4, but everyone knows its a long shot.
For what i have seen so far Valero is world class player.Overall i think
Spalletti is the best signing for us and this season we will finish top 4 for sure.As Roma,Napoli and Milan dont have stroger squad on paper than us.
Well then we disagree greatly.
Roma and Napoli have much much MUCH better teams than Inter does on paper, its not even close. Its not by coincidence that they finished 25 points above Inter this season. This current Inter team dose not have the quality to get 80+ points in serie a no matter who is the coach.
With Milan its more even, though their midfield and defense is better, Inters attack is still stronger, but we will see when the mercato is over.
Inters only hope is that Milans many signings wont click well. There is absolutely no chance Inter can finish above Roma and Napoli.
Fringe hope for 4th place, thats it.
Napoli are better, granted..
As for Roma, last season they were better, but this season,so far..they seem weaker. They lost important names and I’m not sure if they replaced them well enough, plus they lost Spalletti and replaced him with Di Francesco who is significantly less “able” and experienced. The mercato isn’t over yet,and Inter already have a good squad, with a good coach like Spalletti, I think Roma’s within our reach.Inter have a very good chance of finishing 3rd.
Bilan in my opinion need more than signing a lot of players to reach top 4 in the league. They’ve signed many good players, they could be a threat, but not that big of a threat..
Spalletti is good, but he wont make Inter suddenly gain 30-40% more points compared to last season to finish with 80+ points which Roma and Napoli got last season.
That can only happen if some real difference makers are signed and that hasnt happened, the squad is not significantly better.
Roma will miss Salah, no doubt, but they will likely find a good replacement before the end of the mercato. Meanwhile they still have the best starting midfield in the league. EDF is going to drastically change things.
As for milan, we will have to see. Inter have made many changes as well, albiet mediocre ones and Spalletti will need time to implement his system.
It seems alot of people here are blinded by these pre-season results… They mean practically nothing.
The pre season does count for little, and Spalletti will definitely need time to make this Inter his own, but so does Di Francesco.Inter in terms of personnel isn’t that far away from both Roma and Napoli, the difference is there is stability over there (Roma and Nap) and we had 4 coaches last season and numerous managerial changes (Directors, etc..)
Spalletti is much better than Pioli, and Pioli guided Inter for 9 wins out of 10 games last season with good team performances. This makes me trust my expectations of reaching 3rd, and who knows, maybe challenge for 2nd..this is football after all.
cash him now and then our team will have more resources to work on the future, Keita Balde seems to be a good replacement-
You know what your main problem is. You haven’t got friends in real life.
He’s been good for us, so he’s definitely welcome to stay, but I kind of still want Martial if there is a chance..
Perisic is 70% physical and 30% technical, that could mean he’s about to have a significant drop in form due to aging,in a couple of seasons, as he’s 29 years old.
Martial is an unfinished product, inconsistent compared to Perisic, but he’s 21 years old and has got talent in him, which if improved, will make us forget Perisic in no time.
If there is any chance for us to take Martial in a part exchange deal for Perisic,I would love it to happen. If not, keep Perisic..
100% agreed!
Can’t agree more! Martial or Balde would be welcomed to fill in our left arrow.
I don’t like Keita Balde..
When Inter and rubentus show interest in a same certain player, and that player prefers the old hag over Inter, then I won’t like him,and I definitely will not want him to join Inter after that.Same goes for Schick..
rubemerda lovers are not welcome..
You play a hard ball mate..
Our current right winger was former Rube if I’m not wrong..just calm down :))
As long as they’re in favor of our beloved club, they should be welcomed..IMHO
yes candy was a juve man back in 2010
Candreva used to play for probably one season with the thieves,a long time ago..so I can’t really consider him a rubentino, unlike Vidal for example, who spent his best years with the old hag.
You said it, “as long as they’re in favor of our beloved club”..the problem with Keita and Schick, they prefer the cheating scum of torino..so that’s why I said they are not welcome.
Inter is not a rebound for them, Inter should never be a second choice, and especially especially especially not second to rubemerda..
If he stay, he deserve it.
