no, really. imo it would depend on a player’s position. for center forwards and defenders, being tall is an asset, as they are expected to head the ball a lot. defense-minded midfielders can also benefit from this (yaya toure, sergio busquets), although they could also rely on their strength (n’golo kante).
wingers, on the other hand, don’t need to depend on height. in fact, being small might be more beneficial, since they could move quicker that way. of course this is not math–perisic is an excellent example of a tall winger
