According to reports in Spain, Inter and Real Madrid agreed a €30 million fee to allow Mateo Kovacic to return to Inter. Bernabeu Digital however reports that Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane called the transfer off due to being impressed by the 23 year old’s recent performance against Barcelona.

This guy has improved under Modric’s mentoring. His latest game against Barca proved he gradually could unleash a beautiful long shot, an attribute that constantly any coach had asked him on his day at Inter. However, somehow, I prefer Nabil Fekir to fill position behind the striker (ss/amc). Nabil shows his calmness as he carries the ball forward and has physical trait that definitely suit well to our league.

Realistically no coach in their right mind will play Kovacic over any 1 of Casemiro, Kroos or Modric. That decision doesn’t mean Zidane’s words are empty—just makes Kovacic an idiot for believing he’ll be starting man more games than last season
Re Kova was such a joy to watch when he played for us, for me he was unsellable at any price, him and Icardi. But Mancini sold him and said that he’s not happy about it, but it had to be done (total BS), as Mancini just loves to stack 3 defensive midfielders together and leave no place for creativity, and eventually Re Kova was “sacrificed” (more like getting rid of). I hated Mancini for this as I hated Thohir also..
But either this news of Zidane vetoing Re Kova’s return to Inter is false, or the report I’ve read earlier about Real proposing “kova + 80 mils for Dybala” to rubentus is false.How come Zidane was willing to give Kova to rubentus a few hours ago, and wanted to keep him now?!
