Ahead of Slovenia’s World Cup Qualifier with England, Inter defender Milan Skriniar spoke to Sport Pravda on his arrival at the Nerazzurri: “At first I heard that Inter was interested in me but I did not take it very seriously. Interest is one thing, the transfer is another. Everything happened very quickly, just like when I moved from Zilina to Sampdoria. I did not know that my career would change so quickly. I did not expect it [his transition] to be so easy, but I tried to make it normal. I tried to prepare myself psychologically. Now I have to show how much I am worth. The manager wanted me, and that means he had plans for me from the beginning.”

Skriniar was then asked about his transfer fee: “At first I thought about it a little bit, but then no more. Fans always want big name coming to Inter. I am not a big name, so I have to make a lot of effort to confirm my place in this team.”

The 22 year old spoke on his partnership with Miranda: “He is an experienced footballer, we are at ease on the pitch: we are improving.”

Skriniar then discussed the differences between former club Sampdoria and Inter: “It’s a jump but not as big as the one from Zilina to Sampdoria. Sampdoria is a great club, but Inter is even bigger. We were in China and there are so many fans, everyone knows this team.”

He concluded by speaking on Inter’s scudetto chances:”Inter wants to keep on winning, they want to go back to the positions they were in a few years ago. For now, this talk is still premature.”
