Ex sporting director of Pescara & Torino, Gugliemo Acri, was interviewed by Calciomercato.it & he wanted to assure Inter about their recent investment made on Facundo Colidio, the young Argentinian striker born in 2000 & signed under the noses of legendary Argentine club, Boca Juniors.

“We are talking about a 17 year old lad who is already well known in Argentina. His background is at the school of Boca Juniors, who continue to churn out talented youngsters year in, year out. Colidio is a central striker who I think has some of the same characteristics of Paulo Dybala, even if he is a little taller than the Juventus forward. We are talking about a player that is not only good technically but also very strong physically too & can be quite explosive. He needs time to mature, which is typical of most South American players that arrive in European football, which is not simple. There is naturally some time that needs to be allowed for the player to settle in this new environment first, but I think that this player is a natural talent. Piero Ausilio & Walter Sabatini are renowned for having a good eye for scouting out young talent & if they noticed this player, it certainly wasn’t by chance. I am convinced that Inter will soon find they have a very talented payer in their ranks. He is already a player that has featured at youth level in the Argentine league, but all he needs is to be given time, & I am convinced that he will respond to the expectations at Inter, & the investment they have made in him.”
