Gianfranco Matteoli, playmaker in the great Inter team that won the Scudetto dei Record in 1988-1989 season, spoke about the current form of this Inter team.
Speaking to TMW Radio he said “The derby will be a very delicate game for both teams: when you lose a game like this, it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth & a heavy atmosphere. I don’t think Inter are playing the style of play Spalletti would like them to yet but against Milan they will need to show a greater will. Scudetto? it’s still too early to talk about that, but this is a tough team, with some good players who haven’t shown their true worth in recent years; but who are starting to relaunch themselves under Spalletti, but the style of play is still nowhere near good enough. Spalletti is adapting to the players he has at his disposal. At Roma he could play a different type of game & he had a certain Nainggolan who resolved all their problems. Spalletti now has to try & recover some players mentally so he can instil his ideas into them.”

it is important for us that Montella doesn’t get fired before the game
This is the game which scares me the most out of the next few, even more than Napoli -Inter.
Milan is almost at the point of total failure and cannot afford to lose this one in any way, so it is predictable to see a bit of a come back in their performance level ,it’s some kind of ” final ” for them.
On the other hand it is absolutely a key game for us ..if we can win this one too…I am starting to believe..
Thanks for the information sir
In my opinion this game could be the other way around. Milan’s coach is losing control of the dressing room, this is the best time of the year for the players to kick out their much hated coach, by losing the derby… so if the players think so, this game will be ours… then the next derby will be the real one, if Ancelotti is there on the red side of milan…
I’m not sure the players hate Montella, but most of their fans seem to. They obviously lack cohesion with eleven new players, but they weren’t bad against Roma. It will be an exciting derby and it will be interesting to see if Montella goes for counter attacking approach or ball possession. I’d give us a good chance to really hurt them, because they are more like bunch of individuals than a real team atm, but it’s the derby so anything can happen.
Exactly, they don’t hate montella.
But..they do hate Bonucci.
And that’s a serious problem in their locker room.
why do they hate bonucci? cause he is captain?
Yes , and his attitude.
Montolivo Abate and Locatelli definitely hate him.
