Gianfelice Facchetti, the son of the legendary Giacinto, spoke to Calciomercato.it on the sidelines of the Overtime Festival on Inter and their season so far: “There is a new attitude from the team that was seen in the difficult moments encountered in these first matches. The team have in fact always shown dedication and a willingness to sacrifice.”

He went on to say, “I did not expect Inter to have so many points at this stage. I thought Luciano Spalletti could be the right man for the Inter, because his features marry well with how Inter fans see the game and want to see the game.”

Facchetti concluded discussing the Champions League and what Inter must do for the remainder of the season: “Everyone knows that Inter’s goal is to try to get back in the Champions League. They know the competition is fierce because there are other very well equipped teams but despite this there is still a great desire. The important thing is to keep working hard and with that intention, then I believe that the results will come. It is important to continue to pursue the current path and ultimately just go step by step.”
