Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini spoke to Premium Sport on Inter’s derby victory.
“It was fantastic, at the stadium there was an incredible atmosphere. We played as a team and we never let our heads drop, even after their comebacks,”
“Victories increase confidence and self-esteem and these results will help us in the future in upcoming games against Napoli, who we have next and hope to win against,” he added.
Speaking further on the Napoli game, Gagliardini said, “It will be a tough game but we are sure we will be able to have a great match.”
Gagliardini then discussed the team’s goals for the remainder of the season, “The scudetto is our goal, we have to stay up there as much as we can. I think opponents already fear us, we have shown continuity and that we are a strong and united team.”
He concluded speaking on his relationship with Luciano Spalletti: “He has shown confidence in me from the beginning, I’m happy with the relationship we have.”

This is the kind of mentality we should all have since day one. One thing is being realistic about what you can achieve as a team with the players you have at your disposal, but another thing is always aiming the scudetto as part of our top club DNA. Let us not forget what team we are all rooting for, we should all have high expectations and the players above all. So, let’em think that way, and if they get downed by some team then let’em pick themselves again and fight for it. No one plays a tournament to be second place…
So torn… I don’t want to lose and we shouldn’t seeing Napoli should be tired after Roma and Man City. But then I don’t want Napoli to drop 3 points allowing Juve to close the gap.. A draw would be nice I guess.
I just hope a defeat from Napoli brought crisis due too high of expectation.
We should keep our head down, feet on the ground, and take one game at a time.
Right. Too much confident is not good for our heart, especially for Inter fans.
