Today marks the beginning of the six-day Chinese Communist Party congress, parts of which will directly affect Inter Gazzetta dello Sport report.
The Nerazzurri were forced to slow down in the summer mercato as the Chinese government imposed stricter guidelines with regards to foreign spending.
Inter officials are hopeful that the results of the congress are in their favour in order for them to have a big January mercato with Inter’s owners Suning, free from any possible sanctioning.

In the end it all comes to making more money. Suning’s shares have been going up since they bought us and they need to expand on a foreign market such as Europe. None of us knew what Suning was before last year, so the brand’s name alone is enough to convince the gvt. that it’s a good idea to invest, and I’m sure that’s not the first case they’ve had this discussion. I’m sure the problem will be resolved. Money always talks.
If we expect Suning to spending like BBilan or PSG without government permission, it won’t happened. Suning is real company with real business. They won’t break government rules, not even try it, because it will risk their whole -20 billion dollar worth- business in mainland china. BBilan in the other hand, have a mysterious owner with mysterious business. I tried to googling them, only to find similar name with a list of corruption case. They seem
doesn’t tied with government, or the rules, because they have nothing to risk for. PSG owner is government itself, so practically they can do everything they want without any rules, because they are the rules, they can making it, they can breaking it.
As for FFP, it has a hole that maybe any accountant can exploit, as we learn in Neymar case and our case (caprari-skriniar deal). It is a weak rule, but exploited by thohir as an excuse because in realty he don’t have much money to build a competitive serie A team. Suning, unlike thohir, have real money, they can easily deal with FFP if they want to, but seems like they are strictly follow the rules which is more powerful than FFP.
FFP stopped the club and Suning from big spending this summer not the Chinese congress. If Suning really wanted to spend they would have found a way! Besides; January is not the time to mess this the team that hopefully works very well also in January.
I think we will make a couple of small adjustments like a central defender (De Vrij who is out of contract next summer) and hopefully an attacking midfielder even though getting one would maybe send a bad signal to Brozo and Mario about their future at the club. And Özil won’t come, not with his insane salarie demands!
