Sampdoria Sporting Director, Carlo Osti, was interviewed by Premium Sport where he was asked about Sampdoria’s impressive start to the season.

“I can easily say that discussing Champions League is exaggerated even though we’re strong up in the standings. We’re a strong team that still needs to grow but we’re demonstrating an identity and we are a team tactically in form. In todays game the tactical organization is more important than anything else.”

How much would you sell Milan Skriniar for today?

“I’m very happy for his arrival at Inter, he’s a great player and has margins to grow. We’re glad for him and for our dealings on the transfer market. We have to value youngsters and make sure to create positive results for the club.  Since this deal went well, we’re looking to move forward.”

And what about Torreira?

“We didn’t just find him, he’s been here at the club for two years.  He’s shown great personality, he’s dynamic, and strong. In this team each player has such great qualities and each contributes in their own way and this is greatly important for the organization of Giampaolo.”

How serious is the work of Ferrero?

“I believe that he’s a very stimulated president, he wants to do the maximum for the club. He’s very attentive in the work he does and is observant of everyone involved. He’s also bringing a new image to football, he’s transgressive in certain respects but overall he’s always aware as to what is going on in the world of soccer and of course Sampdoria.”
