Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo took to Twitter to thank the Inter faithful for their support against Sampdoria on Tuesday night.
Posting in his native Japanese and then in Italian, he said:
“Last season I did not get the results I wanted and there were many unpleasant things said, but I think that my perseverance has been rewarded, but we are only at the beginning: I want to fight every game.”
“Today it was important to give continuity to the positive results. PROUD of my teammates and the wonderful supporters at the San Siro”

交代時のインテルサポーターからのスタンディングオベーションは素直に嬉しかった。
昨シーズンは結果が出ず、苦しいこともたくさんあったけど、自分の信念を貫き通してきたことが少しは報われたのかな。
とはいえまだ始まったばかり。
1試合1試合大切に戦いたい。

May not be the brightest bulb on the field…or the best lb we ever had but if it’s one thing the guy really gives 110% every game and never complains…I often ask myself why does each coach continue to pick him time and time again but it’s becoming clear that he simply deserves it.
I’m still sceptical, doubt he can do it consistently..
Agreed mate. So many bashers here, but quite simply he’s the best LB we have at the moment, unless we play D’Ambrosio as LB and Cancelo as RB.
I completely agree with you. Nagatomo has never been better and he deserves more support now. We had problems with fullbacks since Zanetti and Maicon, and there are no good fullbacks on the market that we can afford right now, so I think that our biggest reinforcements this season are reborn Nagatomo and D’Ambrosio.
