Inter back-up goalkeeper Daniele Padelli spoke to Inter TV as he celebrated his 32nd birthday yesterday.
“It is a pleasure being part of this group, there is a desire to help troubled teammates and this is the basis for building an important group. The team has not changed much since last year but there is a solid group and the desire to learn, Inter deserves to go back the top and this is the goal.”
“Champions League? We have to deserve it, nobody gives us anything, the results must be earned and sweaty as we are doing,” Padelli added when asked if the Nerazzurri can secure Champions League qualification.
Padelli, who arrived from Torino on a free transfer in the summer mercato, then discussed the birthday prank wherein he was egged and covered in flour by teammates: “Celebrating my birthday as an Inter player is a source of pride. They [my teammates] were good, they caught me off guard.”
