Inter striker and captain Mauro Icardi spoke to Undici on claims that Inter have been lucky thus far this season.

“No, we’re not lucky, we worked really well in pre-season, we changed everything. The Coach is very attentive.

“Above all what we have in our head is the objective everyone is asking of us: the club, the President, right down to the last person who works here,” he said.

24-year-old Icardi, who has netted 11 goals in 10 appearances this term then discussed Inter’s scudetto chances.

“We’re not thinking about the Scudetto, we’re just thinking about continuing to work well.”

Icardi concluded by speaking on his future and how he sees it panning out; “I see myself here [at Inter], I want to stay at Inter for a long time, I want to win something with this shirt, but I won’t be in football at 40, I’m not like Francesco Totti.

“I’m not going to be a Coach or a director, I don’t think I’d like those roles. I think I’ll just be a dad, at home, with my family.

“It’s not difficult for me to be Inter captain, I have the personality to do it easily. Being the Inter captain is my mission, and I’m proud of all of this”
