Ex Torino and Inter midfielder Benoit Cauet gave an interview to ToroNews, discussing his transfer to Inter as well as Torino ahead of tomorrow’s fixture which sees his 2 former clubs clash in front of a sell-out crowd at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

The French midfielder remembered that “I was lucky enough to play in big clubs with big players that made me grow. I was labeled a “quantity player” but it never affected me. These are qualities a player can possess. There are some that can run with the ball while there are others who run to get rid of the ball. Clarence Seedorf was good with the ball at his feet.”

The former Nerazzurri midfielder was grateful to former Inter Sporting Director Sandro Mazzola who brought him to both Inter and Torino explaining that “Mazzola first wanted me at Inter, then he took me to Torino. He had explained to me what it means to play for these great clubs. My first game was the Turin derby that ended 3-3. We were losing 3-0 at half time. Then the Granata spirit got into us, I felt it. It was an amazing 45 minutes. The fans were always there to support us.”
