Legendary Inter striker Evaristo Beccalossi was full of praise for Sampdoria’s Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira, whose great performances so far this season in the Serie A have led him to be rumored to being on Inter’s radar of recent, when giving an interview to RAI Sport last night.
“I think he will be taken by one of the big clubs soon. In the past I talked about his size and how it could be a disadvantage to him. But now it is clear that you must know to how play with the ball at your feet even if you are two meters tall” Beccalossi concluded.
Lucas Torreira signed for the Blucerchiati ahead of the 2016/2017 season after 2 seasons in the Serie B with Pescara scoring 5 goals in 36 matches across all competitions. The former Montevideo Wanderes youth team player has been ever present for Sampdoria since making the move only missing 3 Serie A matches over the past 2 seasons.
Beccalossi was not a striker, but I loved him ,one of my favorite players ever and I’m also totally impressed by Torreira.
Another very interesting player in Samp is the young ,Italian central defender Ferrari.
Agree 100% – Samp is superb at finding young talented players and play them -the polish striker who scored aga8nst us looked really good as well plus the other polish dude who also entered against us in midfield was also promising!
Our team could really do with a regista to help building moves from the beh8nd and he’s the man to do that.
25m clause. Let’s do this
I believe they just renewed his contract and eliminated that clause, because it was considered too low?
