Journalist Mario Sconcerti examined the 1-1 draw played out by Inter and Torino at the San Siro yesterday in his weekly column for Corriere della Sera that was published earlier today.

Sconcerti is of the opinion that “Inter played against the best Torino this season” and also believes that Torino manager Sinisa Mihajlovic’s tactics nullified Inter midfielder Borja Valero and his play making abilities.

“Borja Valero’s catalyst qualities were nullified by Torino’s midfield three. He is not a trequartista; he simply finds the right pass to play during the action.”

Mauro Icardi also had a rather torrid time in front of goal and Sconcerti also shared his opinion on the captain’s performance.

“His poor performance yesterday was enough to render Inter useless,” he concluded his column.

Inter are next in action on Sunday November 19 as they play host to 10th placed Atalanta. Kick off for the game is scheduled for 20:45 local time.
