Despite Cagliari dominating large parts of the match Inter come away from Sardinia with all 3 points thanks to that man, Mauro Icardi. The Inter captain converted Inter’s only shot on target in the first half to give the Nerazzurri a lead that was completely against the run of play before Marcelo Brozovic came on in the second half for an injured Matias Vecino to double that lead. Two was made three when captain fantastic scored a brace for the second match in a row and it was game over.
There is nothing more to say about him other than living legend. When Mauro Icardi is this good he elevates Inter to the best teams in this league, especially when he is flanked by Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva who are top of the assist charts with 6 assists each after having getting one assist in each half.
Inter are top of the league, at least until tomorrow afternoon when Napoli travel to the Dacia Arena against Udinese at 15.00 CET when the rest of day 14 of the Serie A is concludeed

Icardi,Handanovic and Candreva deserve it imo, but i voted for Handanovic he made some great saves in first half and i think that was crucial game could have gone different if we conceded first
i have to vote candreva .. he is the creator behind inter goals in this match
Once again Icardi is the obvious candidate, however my vote goes to Handanovic. Made a ridiculous save on Pavoletti and kept us at 0-0 when we could’ve gone behind when we were playing like crap in the first 20 minutes.
I would say Handanovic, kept us in the game at the start, game could have been completly different.
