Inter’s January transfer window relies a lot upon Joao Mario and his future with the club according to Tuttosport. The Portuguese midfielder remains of interest to a number of clubs and despite being valued at just above €30 million, he is unlikely to be sold.

Instead, Inter are hoping to involve him in a swap deal which would more than likely be on a loan basis until the end of the season and could well have a buying option attached.

Manchester United are interested in Joao Mario and the Red Devils’ Juan Mata or Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be involved in a deal. Moreover, Paris Saint Germain are also keen admirers of the former Sporting Lisbon man’s talents while Inter are interested in their Argentine play maker Javier Pastore.

The 24-year-old arrived at Inter in a deal worth over €40 million to the aforementioned Sporting back in 2016. Despite showing glimpses of his ability, Joao Mario has failed to nail down a regular starting berth under any of the managers he has played under at San Siro.
