Santos unveiled their new manager Jair Ventura today and straight away he tried to affirm himself by stating that: “I would love to be able to count on Gabigol.” The former Botafogo manager also spoke in his press conference about the possible return of former AC Milan player, Robinho saying about the duo that “they are two players who need no introduction. They have an identity within the club and they have help to write some pages of the club’s history. I cannot hide the fact that I would love to be able to count on these players but we have to remain calm.”

Gabigoal has struggled with European football failing to make an impact at Inter last season and this year so far with Portuguese giants, Benfica. It has been long spoken about that Gabigol is favouring a move back to Brazil sooner rather than later and a move in this January transfer window is looking more likely.
