According to Tuttosport, Inter will look to complete a deal for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge if and when they manage to sell Éder this month. The former Sampdoria man only signed a new contract until 2021 in November, but is playing very little and is very much open to the idea of leaving Milan. Crystal Palace are among several Premier League clubs interested in signing him, with the Nerazzurri seeking to recoup a fee of around €10 million for the 31-year-old.
As for João Mário, West Ham United remain keen on the idea of bringing him to England. Inter is asking for a €1.5 million loan fee with a fixed obligation to buy for €22-23 million. Meanwhile, PSV Eindhoven and Genoa are interested in taking Yann Karamoh on loan though the Beneamata seem reluctant to sanction his departure at the moment. The same cannot be said for Andrea Pinamonti, who the club value at around €7 million. Sassuolo could buy him outright before the transfer window closes at the end of the month. Finally, Gabriel Barbosa is set to return to Santos on loan until December for a fee of €1.5 million. The Brazilian side will pay one third of his salary.
Sturridge, here is why Inter believe that he can be the perfect vice-Icardi
20 January at 22:33
Eder hasn’t been playing much for Inter Milan as he
would like to find a new club who will offer his some extra playing
minutes. Inter Milan might make his wish reality as they have already
been looking for a potential replacement. Piero Ausilio and Walter
Sabatini have their eyes on Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge as the
English striker hasn’t seen much playing time under Klopp. Can he be the
perfect vice-Icardi? Maybe but he will have to stay healthy…
WORRISOME STATS – For the past 4 years now, Sturridge has often been
hurt. Over Liverpool’s past 152 games, he missed 66 games because of
injuries. That’s about 43% of the games. These are some worrisome
stats as Inter will have to evaluate the situation well.
BUT HIS GOAL RATIO IS GOOD… – Even if he has often been hurt,
Sturridge scored 39 goals in 84 EPL games for the reds as he clearly has
a lot of talent. The English International is a good finisher who plays
a good overall game. This is why Inter Milan are very curious about the
idea of potentially getting him. They will have to weight in the pros
and cons but they view him as the perfect vice-Icardi, if he can stay
healthy that is…
In fact, I’m just not in support of selling Eder to any
team. He should always be kept at Inter as a vice to Icardi, Sturrigde or any other attacker. The problem
is that Eder does not play regularly with team, and that has kind of impacted
him negatively. In my opinion, Eder should not be traded, rather he should act
as a standby attacker.
the 10m convinced me
they sign a new contract with him and than “kill him”.
HELL YEAH!
An old bad player goes, an old worse player comes! That’s kinda Inter deal!
Sturridge is class above eder.
Sturridge retire from football 2 seasons ago. 😀 Injury prone we don’t need him better get Verdi.
Verdi is summer talk.
It is rumored for the Summer but they haven’t discarded him for this transfer window!!!
what is verdi statistics??
VERY POOR ONE…
He doesn’t have big numbers neither he has given an opportunity in a big team he never had that chance.
Sturridge has like I say he is more an ex footballer now. He is coming to a league that is more physical and he is injury prone.
Also if I have to go with statistics England players don’t do well in serie a
sturridge is 28 and ramires is … ?
Ramires is 30 about to turn 31.
We don’t need Ramires also won’t add much to the team. His best years are behind him. If they want depth they should look somewhere else, Sturridge might be 28 but he won’t work injury prone more like an exfootballer the last best season he had was 2 season ago. Either they start giving the chance to the youth team or get someone that actually familiar with Serie A and I’m referring too the players that are currently playing in it.
Sturridge is a cannon glass, just like Rafinha, and we dont need more glass tbh..
Who cares? they’re just stop-gap measure till the summer.
absolutely, just look at his staistics; goals and assits. more assists than some attacking midfielder.
I do not understand the hate towards Sturridge,he is good player but prone to injuries and that is the only reason he doesn’t play more,i have a few friends who support Lvp and they all agree that he is a good player,he managed to produce a great amount of goals (64) and assists (24) in Lvp despite being injured often and coming of the bench..he is 28 also not that old and possibly his best is yet to come,if we replace Eder with himi think we have done a good job maybe even great if he stays fit and adapts to Serie A..
If you are an injury prone in EPL which speed, speed, run are the only matters, then what do you think will gonna happen in the hardest defensive league in the world with defense which surely consist lots of tackle, as the main concern? same thing goes with Rafinha for me,, an injury prone in an only “technical” league went to boxing league?
EPL is actually a more physical league that Italy so I don’t get your point.
Serie A has moved on from the time of Iuliano and Gentile so while it remains the most tactical league in the world and open spaces are hard to find we don’t see that many reckless bone crunching challenges and think the introduction of VAR is going to help further on this front.
If you see any old Liverpool games you will note that Sturridge isn’t all about running but actually is pretty adept at carving open defenses, has a decent long shot and a poachers instinct in the penalty box.
Eder doesn’t really fit Spalletti’s tactics which are possession based whereas Eder likes to run at defenses preferably on a counter which is why he is only a good fit for low to mid table teams that thrive on counter attacks. So this rumored Crystal Palace transfer would actually be a win win for everyone involved.
Montero, Cannavaro, Samuel, Materazzi.
Only Chiellini is left in that mould.
