According to several reports in Italian media, Japanese international full-back, Yuto Nagatomo, could be on his way out from the Nerazzurri.
According to reports both in Sky Sport Italia and Premium Sport, La Liga side Real Betis and Turkish giants Galatasaray are going head to head to secure the services of the former Cesena player. The offer that Inter have received is reportedly a dry loan for which the Nerazzurri will receive €1 million, where an option is included to make the transfer for €7-8 million.
Nagatomo’s agent, Federico Pastorello, is reportedly on his way to Istanbul to negotiate terms for his client directly on location with Galatasaray. Inter coach Luciano Spalletti revealed last week that the Japanese international asked him for more playing time given that Japan have qualified for the FIFA World Cup later this year and Nagatomo does not want to risk losing his spot in the team.
Yuto Nagatomo joined Inter in exactly eight years ago during the 2011 January transfer window and has since then featured 210 times in all competitions scoring 11 times in the process.
while we admire his perseverance and dedication for the team, he simply did not have the class to be playing at serie a.
I’m torn on this. Any other year I would be ecstatic to let him go, but he’s by far been our best LB this season.
Fuck our management for not picking up a quality and proven LB. If we didn’t have to start santon or even picked up Koralov we would have been in at least 3rd and in the tittle race. Ugh!
Let`s hope Spalletti trusts Dalbert enough now/considers himself ready. Or he accepted to let Yuto go in order to get Pastore, which makes sense.
Meanwhile, Chelsea signed Palmieri for 20M + 6 in bonuses and we are still benching 28M guy Dalbert…
The moment that all Interisti are waiting for
If he does go, thank god but good luck to him… his love for the club and his effort were never in question, unlike others – Brozovic, Mario, Kdog etc- Unfortunately, just nowhere near good enough!!
We’ve heard that one before. I ain’t believing that unless I see him with the other team’s scarf tightly wrapped around his neck.
