Inter draw 1-1 at home to Crotone as their negative run shows no signs of ending. After the game Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke to Premium Sport. He was asked if he was starting to get worried about this negative period now: “Of course some worry comes in, we tried to touch different keys. But you cannot have 200o tests and then throw it all up in the air when it doesn’t work. We need to be more logical in doing things and create a correct system of work which will help to give confidence back to the players giving then an objective they can touch. It’s clear that we are currently in a little difficulty, we haven;t won in a while and we are not as fluid as we were before.”

He went on to say: “We have all dropped in form a little. We didn’t concede a great deal to Crotone and the goal come about from a lucky rebound. But we have not been very precise nor determined up front to go and win the small duels or the play. We are below level in everything.”

He was then questioned about Inter’s failure to be able to keep the ball moving fluidly: “We are below level, I have told the players too. It all depends on the daily work also, in training we do things well but when it comes to the game we lack the security and the belief that serve to aspire us to more important results. As soon as things start to go bad for us during a game we become disheartened and we show that we have a wesak character. The fears of past errors come back. There is no other way we must set ourselves back on the right track ad try to do things correctly which will allow us to aim and focus on our objectives again.”

Spalletti was then asked that Inter from the early part of the season seemed to want the win more, something that is lacking right now: “The spirit comes from enthusiasm that you can take with you. It becomes contagious much like this negative moment. The brain becomes creative when all is going well but then cancels that all out when things go bad. We need to stay calm, this moment has been difficult but we have lost nothing yet. We need to keep our heads solid to show correct reasoning, to be able to show the players the roads that need to be taken. There is no alternative.”

Finally he was asked about the reaction of Brozovic after being substituted: “I think it was a normal reaction, but you can take it how you like… if a player reacts in a certain manner it can be a positive, personally I think he is a bit annoyed at the moment that we are going through, for the result, for a couple of things that didn’t work out for him. Maybe he was also annoyed about the substitution but nothing changes, I don’t give attention to these things.”
