The future of Inter’s young Belgian central defender Zinho Vanheusden is still shrouded in uncertainty after a difficult season on loan at Standard Liege where he struggled to find any space this past season.

FcInterNews report that Standard manager Michel Preud’Homme will not exercise their option to extend their loan for the defender born in 1999 and he will begin preseason training without the former Inter Primavera player.

Despite this Vanheusden’s immediate future could still be in his native Belgium, at least according to La Capitale, Oostende FC has approached to loan him but Inter prefer to keep him in Italy and are ready to send him on loan to Serie A side Sassuolo.

The Neroverdi are interested in the player and the Nerazzurri still believe in the player’s ability and think a season on loan in Italy is just what he needs to get to where he was before the difficult knee injury he sustained a year ago.
