Former Inter loanee Rafinha has shared his disappointment at being unable to continue his adventure with the Nerazzurri

“I had a great time at Inter and I thought I would have stayed. I was really convinced that with the qualification in the Champions League I would stay, but it is was not to be,” he told Marche Belcher Blog.

“Inter was a spectacular experience for me. It was important for me to go back to playing the maximum number of games after my injury. I knew that my ability to adapt quickly was important. I thank my team-mates and the Nerazzurri fans, I was very well supported and recovered belief in my way of playing football.”

The Brazilian joined Inter back in January for the second half of the 2017/18 season and made a total of 17 appearances and despite performing well, Inter chose not to take up their redemption option for financial reasons. Inter reportedly tried to find a new deal with Barcelona but were unable to and then turned their attention to other targets.
