Inter and Sassuolo are still working on reaching an agreement over the transfer of Matteo Politano according to a report from Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
There is a minor discrepancy between the two clubs but nothing too major that can not be ironed out. Sassuolo are holding out for €27 million with a couple of Inter’s youngsters attached while Inter only want to offer €25 million and a couple of their young talents.
Gabriele Zappa and Davide Merola were initially expected to move to Sassuolo as part of the deal but the two clubs could not find any agreement and have now moved on to discuss other players. Sassuolo would now instead like Jens Odgaard and Lorenzo Gavioli but Inter are not so sure about using this duo.
Inter have little under two full days now to strike a deal with the Neroverdi if they wish to include the sales of the young players on their balance sheet for this year. Inter needed to raise €45 million in capital gains for financial fair play purposes and are understood to be close and the two youngsters in this deal could be just enough to help them hit their target.
