Inter’s latest signing Matteo Politano, spoke to Inter TV after his move to the Nerazzurri was made official.
The former Sassuolo player began by expressing his delight to have signed for Inter: “It is a beautiful thing to be here. It is a very important day for me, I am very emotional and I can’t wait to get going. I want to thank the club and the coach who wanted me here and I want to thank Sassuolo who made me develop and grow which gave me the opportunity to come to Inter.
“San Siro is a stadium that gives me a great feeling and in the past it has been brought me luck, I have scored against both Inter and AC Milan here” Politano continued.
The Rome-born player revealed that growing up his idol was Francesco Totti stating: “For those who grow up in Rome Totti is a point of reference but I admire many players like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo but also other attacking wingers.”
In conclusion Politano was asked to share his thoughts on his new teammates as well as send a message to Inter’s fans stating: “Icardi has always impressed me, he needs only one ball in the penalty area to score a goal but there are many great players here. I promise to always give everything I have to honor this shirt.”
