Former Inter full back Joao Cancelo has today been officially presented as a player of Juventus and during his presentation he revealed the reasoning behind his move to Juventus over waiting on a return to Inter.

“I was in a situation where everything depended on the market, Juventus wanted me and have always showed that they wanted me and I decided to come here, to one of the most important clubs in Europe, Inter is still a very important club, but I’m proud to be in a team as big as Juventus. The difference with Inter is that Juve have dominated in Serie A in the last few years and that’s why I chose this team,” the Portuguese said.

He proceeded to talk about how he has improved following his spell with Inter.

“I think I done well in both Spain and in Italy. In Italy in particular I improved on the defensive aspect of my game. The game against Juventus was the best match of my career so far.”
