Corriere dello Sport have looked at all the positives to have come from Inter’s pre-season preparations and have paid particular attention to two of them, the way the transfer market has went and the solidity of the defence.

Aside from Sime Vrsaljko, who only began training on Friday and partly Radja Nainggolan, who has missed most of pre-season through injury, all the new signings have performed and shown themselves to be the right choices for the Nerazzurri.

Inter initially struggled in the early pre-season games defensively but returned to levels that will serve them well in big games this coming season.

The Rome based publication have also taken a look at one negative, the lack of goals scored over pre-season. Inter have netted just 10 goals in 7 pre-season encounters but it must be remembered that this is an Inter without Ivan Perisic and the midfield has lacked any real creativity due to the absences of Marcelo Brozovic and Radja Nainggolan.
