The refereeing appointments for the opening weekend of the Serie A season have been announced by the Lega and it sees Maurizio Mariani placed in charge of Sassuolo-Inter.

The 36-year-old will be assisted at the MAPEI Stadium by Ciro Carbone and Sergio Ranghetti while Aleandro Di Paolo will be the fourth official. Paolo Valeri has been entrusted with looking after VAR and Stefano Del Giovane will assist him.
