Inter top transfer target Luka Modric has finally had the chance to meet with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez but as per a report from Sky Sport, Perez still holds all the cards when it comes to Modric’s future.
During the meeting, the Croatian international reiterated his desire to leave Los Blancos in favour of a new challenge, something he previously made clear to Real Madrid’s number two Jose Angel Sanchez, when they met face-to-face. Perez remains firm on his stance and really does not want the 32-year-old leaving the Santiago Bernabeu and it now looks like Modric is in fact destined to remain against his will.
Inter first came in to links with Modric a few weeks ago but the entire move has hinged upon whether Perez would allow Modric to leave. There was hope on Inter and Modric’s part but Perez has erected a brick wall and looks to have ended any chance of this move happening this window.
