Torino winger Iago Falque has praised manager Walter Mazzari for spurring himself and teammates on to make a comeback against Inter in the 2-2 draw on Sunday night.
“In the dressing room the Coach wanted to give us a boost. He told us the things we were getting wrong, and I think we gave an answer in the second half, not least tactically,” the Spaniard remarked during an interview with Torino Channel.
The 28-year-old – who was allegedly subject to interest from the Nerazzurri in the early part of the summer prior to Inter signing Matteo Politano – went on to insist that he and his Granata teammates played the game exactly how they needed to in order to pull off the comeback.
“We were more aggressive, we played without fear, and that is how you play these matches. We managed to pull off an important comeback, and I think it was a great reaction from the squad.”
