The game against Parma will mark the first game in the ‘tour-de-force’ for Inter. In less than a month, Inter will play 7 games in 21 days between the league and the Champions League.
The Gazzetta dello Sport discusses the hard work that will have to be put in by Luciano Spalletti, who will have to rotate many players without losing the strength and effectiveness of the team: “Spalletti’s staff will continue to focus a lot on personalized work both on the field and in the gym for every player. They will work to avoid overloads for the players that are tired and the ones that have suffered injuries. So far the team has been training once a day, with a second additional session once a week.
“The tactical side of training will now be intensified as Spalletti continues to study the upcoming opponents. The fact that Inter will be on the field practically every three days also takes away resting time from the players, who will spend a lot of time together. The day after each game, the players who have played will receive rest for recovery and the ones that have not played will continue to work as normal. The players that have been excluded from the Champions League (Joao Mario, Gagliardini, and Dalbert) will remain in Appiano to work with the staff to prepare and be at their best for the Serie A games.”
