Former Inter midfielder Alessandro Bianchi believes Inter’s defence is the best aspect of the team and that the midfield could still do with some work, he revealed in an interview with RMC Sport.
“There were some initial problems with Handanovic but in general the defence is the most positive aspect for Inter, as there are many alternatives and they all have quality.
“The midfield could be considered incomplete as far as quality is concerned. Brozovic is not really a traditional regista, even if he performed like one in the second half of last season.”
Bianchi, who spent eight years on the books of Inter between 1988 and 1996, concluded the interview by speaking on Inter’s return to the Champions League.
“I’m more excited than scared by the return to Europe. The group is really tough and difficult to overcome but nothing in football is impossible. The first match with Tottenham will be very important.”
