Inter’s Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan is getting better and better and now he is aiming for AC Milan. The injury that bothered him during the pre-season and the start of the season is behind him and Corriere dello Sport have explained the situation.

“The truth is that we have only seen his best once, and that was in the game against PSV Eindhoven, not only due to his equalizer – but thanks to his effectiveness in both phases: possession and non-possession. So far he has worked a lot in his pressing play and in regaining possession of the ball. Against SPAL he recovered 6 balls and nobody recovered more.

“In addition to that he did not overturn the ball and worked well with Icardi. Therefore the derby could mark a turning point, also because he loves great challenges, he loves the tension and the climate. And the statistics support him, Nainggolan played 10 games against Lazio and has 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses. Less positive against Milan though, 8 defeats and 5 victories scoring only once on December 12th 2016.”
