In an interview with Tuttosport, Jose Mourinho has revealed details of the conversation he had with Juventus president Andrea Agnelli prior to the Champions League encounter with his Manchester United.
“Before the game I told Mr. Agnelli that since I left Inter, they have won seven championships in a row and it seems as if the eighth will come this season. However, he did not want the eighth but he instead told me he wanted to win ten in a row.”
Mourinho was the mastermind behind Inter’s triplete winning side of the 2009/10 season but since his departure Inter have only won three trophies, all of which came the season after he left the club.
The Portuguese, who has been in charge of the Red Devils since 2016, also made a reference to the triplete during the aforementioned game with the Bianconeri. The travelling Juventus support began to jeer Mourinho who in turn raised three fingers in their direction to signify the triplete success.
