Esteban Cambiasso spoke upon one of the hottest topics of conversation among the Inter fan base that of whether Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez will get to play together with another.

“At Milan they are currently playing Gonzalo Higuain and Patrick Cutrone together and I think that when there is a great desire to do it, you have to give Lautaro and Maurito the chance to prove they can do it together,” the Argentine midfielder said in an interview with Sky Calcio Club.

As part of the interview, Cambiasso, who spent 10 years at Inter, also spoke on Gian Piero Gasperini’s spell in charge of the club that certainly did not go as planned.

“Diego Milito told me that he admired Gasperini since the days together with him at Genoa. I think a coach has to arrive at the right place at the right time and with the right players and for Gasperini that did not happen.”
