Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will not make a decision on whether Radja Nainggolan will start tomorrow’s match with Barcelona up until the last minute according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Nainggolan has been training regularly despite his left ankle not being fully recovered and made a goal scoring return to the first team in Saturday’s 5-0 demolition of Genoa from the substitutes bench.

Spalletti is strongly tempted to start him but has alternatives in mind just in case Nainggolan is not completely ready.

Borja Valero is the main alternative, more so than Keita Balde who represents another option for Spalletti to mull over.

Nainggolan aside, Spalletti still has to make some other decisions. Sime Vrsaljko is expected to come back in for Danilo D’Ambrosio while it remains to be seen what will happen with Matteo Politano. Politano scored on Saturday but played the full 90 minutes and despite putting in a better showing last time out against Barcelona, Antonio Candreva could get the nod to start the game. Finally, it remains between Miranda and Stefan de Vrij as to who will partner Milan Skriniar at centre back.
