Barcelona were taken aback by the recent comments made by Rafinha’s agent with regard to seeking a transfer away from the club in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from RAC1.

The Brazilian’s agent Mazinho, who is in fact his father, revealed that due to his playing time this season that he and his client would refuse to rule out a move and that the doors were open to anything.

However, RAC1 detail that Barcelona have no intention of letting the midfielder depart the Nou Camp in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old has been limited to just seven appearances for the Blaugrana this term where he has managed to chip in with one goal which game against Inter in the Champions League.

Rafinha spent a six-month period on loan with the Nerazzurri last term but due to financial fair play reasons, Inter were unable to retain his services.
