Inter president Steven Zhang is wanting to formalise the appointment of Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta as quickly as possible according to a report from Tuttosport.
Steven Zhang has spent the past few weeks in China and Marotta even travelled to Asia to hold talks with Zhang and his father Jindong Zhang, who owns both Suning and Inter.
As per the report, the perfect opportunity to iron out the final details and get everything over the line could arrive once Inter have returned from London after they have taken on Tottenham Hotspur in their penultimate Champions League group stage match that could see them confirm their place in the knockout stages as long as they avoid defeat.
Marotta’s arrival at Inter in this case would appear to be imminent and going by what the report suggests, he should then be in place for Inter’s trip to the capital to take on Roma.
