Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta should be appointed by Inter by the end of the week, this according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter are in London for a Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur and this includes club president Steven Zhang. As a result of Inter being out of the country, that is why Marotta’s appointment is expected at the end of the week.
Thursday or Friday could prove the perfect days to sign the contract and formalise the appointment of the former Juventus chief executive.
Ever since it was announced that Marotta would be leaving the Bianconeri, Inter have been inextricably linked with adding him to their own management team. Marotta was recently in China to hold talks over a move to the Nerazzurri with their owners Suning. He is expected to be appointed in the role of chief executive and will deal with the sporting matters of the role while current Inter chief executive Alessandro Antonello will stay in the role but deal with everything else.
